Do you ever look at a stamp set and feel unsure of how to use it? Should I stamp, then color? Or use colored card stock? Do I do something else?
I am going to show you how you can make 4 Poinsettia cards with different styles and techniques with one stamp set. You pick the style of stamping you like. It’s one stamp set – 4 different ways all resulting with beautiful Poinsettia cards you can send this holiday season.

We are using the Stampin’ Up! Poinsettia Petals stamps and coordinating dies. In the video I will give you all different tips for using these products in different ways. If you like to color–color the images! If you you don’t, there are other card techniques and options to use.
Poinsettia Cards 4 Ways | Video Tutorial
All 4 of the above layouts are the same, I just used the dies and stamps in different ways. Check it out….
Poinsettia Card Details

This first card is stamped using Memento Black ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. This is an easy image to color with the alcohol markers if you enjoy coloring. After coloring, I just cut the images out with the dies.
- Pear Pizzazz: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Crumb Cake: 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Poppy Parade: 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
- Scraps: Whisper White, Bumble Bee
Stampin’ Blends Used: Poppy Parade, Old Olive
NEXT…..

If you want to skip the coloring, give this idea a try. You can stamp the Poinsettias on colored card stock–then just cut them out!
The card recipe is the same, I just used Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzaz card stock to stamp the images on, then cut out.

This time I stamped my images on white card stock with colored ink. The Poinsettia is stamped in Bumble Bee and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz. I added a little extra color using the coordinating stamps and first stamping them on scrap paper to make them a little lighter.
Recipe:
- Whisper White Thick: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″
- Whisper White: 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
- Pear Pizzazz: 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
- Scraps: Whisper White & Pear Pizzazz

And finally, for our elegant version I used Red, Green & Gold foil sheets to just cut out the pieces–no stamping! (except for the Merry Christmas which is gold embossed!)
Supplies I Used
The supply list is a bit long be because all 4 cards use different items. If you want to see everything I used, just click the picture below. And then, if you’d like to make one of these cards, or maybe all of them, you can simply add the products you need to your cart.

Ahhh….yes, that’s my favorite too I think!

It’s my pleasure. Thanks for watching!!
How many cards can be made from this poinsettia suite? (with the card stock provided)
Thanks, enjoy your videos!!!
I’m not certain I understand your question; I do not provide the cardstock. Each piece of cardstock will make 2 card bases and from there it would depend on how many colors you wanted to use for your card bases. One pack of cardstock would make 48 card bases but you’d need some extra for the die cutting. I hope that helps. Feel free to contact me if you have other questions.
Great Video with the 4 Poinsettia cards. Beautiful cards Jackie. All your videos are a delight to watch!
That makes my day Beverly; thanks!!
