Complete Guide to Stamps: Card Making For Beginners + 9 Card Ideas

Start with the video, then come back here for all the details on the projects that I show in the video. Let’s start with ‘What is the difference between photopolymer and clear stamps?’ What are reversible stamps? Do I need clear acrylic blocks? Let’s tackle these questions and more!

Complete Guide to Stamps: Different Types Of Stamps

In the video I shared all about both the CLING MOUNT RUBBER STAMPS and PHOTOPOLYMER CLEAR STAMPS– types of stamps and tips for using each different kind.  Here are a few of the tips.  Make sure to watch the video to learn more about each type of stamp.

Rubber Cling Mount Stamps:

  • Label is super sticky, so make sure you put it on correctly the first time because you can not remove and redo it
  • Careful when taking off of the block as they are super sticky–grab gently from the edge

Clear Stamps – Photopolymer:

  • You can see through them for perfect placement
  • You can bend them when putting on the blocks
  • Red colors will stain them–but that’s OK, they are still clean
  • If they loose their “stick,” wash in the kitchen sink with some dish soap

What about those OLD RUBBER STAMPS that don’t stick very well to the blocks?

Woo Hoo–Cling Adhesive to the rescue!  You can know purchase sheets of small strips of the adhesive to put over the old labels so they stick nicely to your blocks!!!  It’s item #152452 and you can purchase the Cling Adhesive Sheets here
