What Type of Card Maker Are You?

Now that’s a different question!  What type of card maker are you?

Are you a BEGINNER?  Just starting out.  Maybe you don’t have a lot of supplies, are are ready to start and purchase just a few things.

Or, are you a CASUAL stamper?  You’ve been stamping for a little while…..have purchased a few things and are really starting to enjoy this hobby.  But you don’t own a lot of supplies (yet), especially not a die cutting machine.

Maybe you consider yourself an AVID stamper?  You have a lot and you seem to be stamping all the time!

Today’s post, especially the video, is a little longer than usual because no matter what kind of card maker are you, I am sharing a card for each type of stamper.  Each card progressively has a few more products used, but really, it’s not any harder–there is just more STUFF!

What Kind of Card Maker Are You?

In the video I will share all 3 cards with you and how with a few more supplies, you can “step up” your card.  So, no matter if you are just starting out, or if you have been stamping (and collected supplies) for a long time, you will learn some fun tips for making cards!

If you are reading this in your email, the video might not show up–just click the picture below to go directly to YouTube to view it!  (you don’t want to miss it!)

What Type of Card Make Are You? A Beginner Stamper?

When you are just starting out, I always recommend starting with a SIP:  stamps, ink & paper!  That is all this card uses, besides a little Linen Thread!  Make sure to check out the video to see how easy it is to stamp this card with just 4 ink pads, one set of stamps and a notecard!

What Type of Card Maker Are You? A Casual Stamper?

You might consider yourself a CASUAL STAMPER.  Stamping is fun and becoming your hobby.  You are still a little overwhelmed and have not dove into a die cutting machine yet, but do like punches and layering cardstock.  This cards for you….

  • Calypso Coral:  3 3/8″ 4 5/8″
  • Whisper White:  3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″, 3/4″ x 3 1/2″ (see video as to how I cut it down)

Where’s My Avid Stampers?

You know who you are….you have been stamping for awhile and have purchased a lot.  Sometimes you are even a bit overwhelmed by all the stuff you have.

One thing I have learned over the years, just because you have been stamping for a long time you don’t have to make COMPLICATED AND DIFFICULT cards.  My cards are still simple, rather quick and easy….just use a little more “stuff” and takes a little more time.

This card is NOT HARD, and really didn’t take a lot of time….I just use a few more things!

I added the Springtime Impressions Thinlits (purchase with the stamp set and save 10%), as well as some embossing!  (easy peasy! If you don’t know how to heat emboss, leave me a comment and I can give you the link to a video)

  4. Love all 3, but going to try the 3rd one. I bought this bundle in the fall and have tried it 3 or 4 times and didn’t like the way the flowers turned out. Thanks for the tips.

  6. Great video! I love that you are focused on the project and get right to it! I guess I’m a casual stamper – a senior with lots of stuff and wanting to use up what I have without adding to my stash. Your videos give me lots of new ideas – thank you!
