WOW WOW WOW……I AM IN LOVE! This card was made with the new QUILT BUILDER FRAMELITS. It is part of the Christmas Quilt bundle, but I only used the framelits on this card.
Part of the reason I love this is because I also love to quilt–now I can combine quilting and stamping!!! Even though this set in the catalog screams Christmas, I see so much more…..
And, there are so many different ways to use it combining all the pieces and dies. This video is filled with tips for this card and one of the many different ways to use the dies. I will have several more upcoming videos showing different ways to use them, so make sure to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss them!!!
If you are reading this in your email, the video may not show up. Just click on the title of this post to go to my website so you can view the video.
Before I share a few details, I want to share this picture. This is a quilt I just completed last week. It was made using my father’s clothing. He passed away a year ago and my sister and I made 4 of these–one for my mom, and each of us “girls.” Such precious memories in this quilt and when I wrap up in it I can feel the love of my “daddy.”
Let’s look at today’s card again:
Here is what the bundle looks like. If it’s on your NEED LIST, WAIT UNTIL OCTOBER!!!! I will be using this bundle for one of my online classes and you can get it FREE along with a FREE CARD KIT when you purchase it from me between Oct 1-10!!!
Here is a close up of just the quilt square on the card, and the one I made in the video:
What is so fun about this is how different squares can look depending on the pieces you use!
- Whisper White Card Base: 11″ x 4 1/4″
- Pick a Pattern DSP: 4″ x 5 1/4″ (black print layer)
- Pink a Pattern DSP scraps: 3 different prints
- Basic Black: 3″ x 3″
- Crumb Cake: 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ (base to adhere pieces to)
- Crushed Curry: 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″
- Video shows lots of tips for cutting and adhering all the pieces
Here are a few other squares I have made and will eventually make them into cards:

Try my set out this week.
LOVE your cards. I too am a quilter first. While I still quilt, paper-crafting excites me to no end. This stamp and Framelit set combines both of my loves!! (Yay, Stampin’ Up!) Thanks for the inspiration, Jackie!!!
You are very welcome. Glad you like!
Thank you for sharing so many wonderful cards and the video.
You are very welcome–more to come!
what stamp set does the sentiment in your card come from? I didn’t see it listed in the bundle.
Ooppss–forgot to list it. It’s called ONE BIG MEANING and is on page 131 of the Annual Catalog
Thank you for your tips Jackie – they are a great help! I enjoyed watching your video too! I’ve just bought the stamp set – a little late for Christmas, but as you say, this set can be used throughout the year:)
Thanks for the ideas.
Just wanted to say thank you for doing this video many years ago. I am having our quilting gals make some cards at one of our meetings and was trying to figure out how I could make it easier to glue all the pieces on for them. This solves all the problems. I love all of the patterns you have come up with as well. I’m going through all of my patterned papers to pull our combinations. This is going to be so much fun.
Have a stamp happy day!
