Here at Klompen Stampers, we value our team. We share, learn, and grow with each other. We are a community of creative, talented, and kind-hearted paper crafters all with a passion for card making. There are so many different card making styles, techniques, and ideas – there is always something new to learn. And this is why I love the Klompen Stampers team, because every member brings a unique talent to the team that we get to learn from.
Today, I want to spotlight one of our talented team members, Cindy Cherry, and show off her beautiful designs created with Thoughtful Expressions to send love and support with a handmade card. Cindy’s style of stamping floats between being a casual and avid stamper. Meaning she likes to find easy ways to step up simple card designs. She loves to create cards with texture, so frequently uses embossing folders, and then likes to finish her cards with a little sparkle.
Get to Know Cindy Cherry
A few fun facts about Cindy:
- She’s been stamping for 27 years! She likes to make one-of-a-kind artwork cards that are a gift in and of themselves.
- She was a Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn nursery nurse for 11 years, and NICU for 25 years.
- She served in the Air Force and played on the Medical Center women’s softball team.
Why Cindy joined the Klompen Stampers Team:
It’s pretty simple why Cindy joined the Klompen Stampers team, she liked Jackie’s YouTube videos and Jackie invited her to join the team! And now, Cindy remains a Demonstrator because of the community, “The People – from the top down, Stampin’ Up! is like one big family; people really do care about others no matter where in the world you are from!”

Thoughtful Expressions Card Details
Cindy has shared with us three beautiful ideas to send love and support with a handmade card. She started simple and then kept stepping up her designs – there’s something for everyone!
- Basic White card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
To make this card, place a square scrap piece of cardstock or a sticky note top center of the card, and then stamp randomly. This gives the look of a border without layering additional cardstock!
- Basic White card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Orchid Oasis layer: 4″ x 5 1/4″
- Scraps for die cutting: Basic White
- Card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 1″, 2″, and 5 1/4″
- Fold 1″ end to the inside and adhere down with adhesive
- Left panel:
- DSP: 3/4″ x 5 1/4″
- Coordinating layer: 7/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Middle & right panel (2 pieces):
- DSP: 3″ x 5 1/4″
- Coordinating layer: 3 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
- Scraps for die cutting: Basic White
