Handmade gift tags are easy to make and add such a nice delight to your gift giving. Whether you are adding them to a package, gift bag, or just a little treat box, handmade gift tags are a nice addition to show how much you care. You can make them for birthdays, Christmas, weddings, baby gifts, or anytime you have a gift to give.
It is easy to make handmade gift tags when you use the Celebrate with Tags stamp set and Celebrations Tag Dies. These products make it easy and fun to customize for any season or occassion.

These dies do all the work for you. They not only cut out the tag, but create scoring lines to create little pocket tags that are perfect for a gift card.
When I took them out to create with them, I had a hard time stopping… so many different stamps, die shapes, and greetings that the ideas for handmade gift tags are endless.
Tips For Making Handmade Gift Tags
Today’s video is filled with tips for how to use these dies to cut out the tags, make the pocket for a gift card, and how to use them differently with different card stock and Designer Series Paper. I know you will love the many different ways to use these products together! Die Cut Out Tag to Create Pocket Tag

The die does all the work for you. It cuts and scores so you can then easily fold up to create the pocket that fits a gift card perfectly. You can also use the rectangle die to create a fun window in the gift tag, or use the circle on the back to create a fun opening for the gift card to show through.

For the gift tag on the left, the die cut was cut in half on the score line to just make it a tag without the pocket. The one on the right shows the other size/shape die that is part of the set to make handmade gift tags. It’s a bit smaller, but the ideas are endless.
Make sure to watch the video because I show all different ways to add to the inside so that the tag opens up, or add the greeting to the bag. Most of the ones I made are all a little different, but I show them all in detail on the video.
