Whenever I get a new stamp set and it’s not really “speaking” to me creatively, the first thing I reach to is my card templates! Having a variety of templates to flip through helps create an easy card making project to make using any new stamping products. And then sometimes I’m inspired by many templates and create lots of quick and easy cards! Like in my project today with the Sweet Peas stamp set.
What are card templates? Glad you asked! They are the best tools to have nearby for an easy card making project.
I have a card making template video series where we make four new templates in each class. Each template is an easy layout to follow while creating with any stamps, ink, and paper. We make the templates using scrap paper and then write the paper measurements on them. Then when we get new stamp sets, like Sweet Peas, we don’t have to figure out new layouts and measurements. Flip through the already-made card templates and use them as a pattern to create quick and easy cards!

Sweet Peas Card Template Details
I had a lot of fun creating with these punny pea characters – they’re just so cute!! All I did to make these cards was follow the measurements from different card templates throughout our series and color the cute peas using my favorite coloring tool, Stampin’ Blends. You can find the measurements for all 6 cards that I made by watching the free Card Making Templates Class each template was featured in, which are linked below the pictures.
Or, if you prefer written tutorials, we have those available for purchase! Each card making template class has a written tutorial that gives all the measurements and diagrams for making the four different templates plus step-by-step instructions for the eight completed cards shown in the video class. Just another easy card making project! You can copy the cards exactly, tweak them to your style, or think of new ideas using any stamps, ink, and paper.

Hi, Jackie! Even though I have done each of the card templates along with you and Dave (which I love!), and you show examples each time (which I love!) making the cards using the same DSP somehow highlights each of the templates. I do not understand how or why this is, but it really showcases each individual design. Thank you so very much for the mountain of work I am sure this – and each of the videos – requires. Your creativity is like a pebble dropped into a pond, with each of us being the ripples that flow outward from it – and you. Thank you SO much!!
I think it’s just the different ways our creative minds work! I’ve heard some crafters say they have to use pretty papers to help visualize cards easier while some crafters can mix and match papers that do not go together and still visualize cards. Thank you so much for following along with our series, I hope your templates are being put to a lot of good use!
