Have you ever tried acrylic block stamping to make fun backgrounds using the Stampin’ Write water based markers? It’s fun and you just never know what results you will get. Every single card you make will turn out different with this technique. And hey, it’s just card stock, so if you mess up a couple, it’s no big deal.

Grab your acrylic blocks, some markers and some Shimmery White card stock and it’s time to play. Important things to remember – you must use STAMPIN’ WRITE MARKERS and NOT the Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. And you will want to use the Shimmery White card stock rather than Basic White as it takes the water much better.
Acrylic Block Stamping Video Tutorial
In the video, my daughter Jesi joined me and we tag-team to show you several different examples. The technique is the same, you just need to play with different color combinations, as well as figure out the “magic touch” as to how much water to use.

Thanks Joan!
Love Jesse’s card – so SWEET!!! It was good to see you can add a bolder color to the block. Great ideas from both of you.
