New Craft Room Tour: Practical Organization and Storage Solutions

My stamp room renovation is finally complete, so today I thought I would give you a new craft room tour. And while we do that, I will also show you how I store and organize all my different products.

Check out my new craft room tour full of ideas and inspiration for your dream space!

New Craft Room Video Tour

I hope you don’t get dizzy watching, but I tried to walk around and give you a tour and show you my new craft room along with my organization and craft storage solutions.

Before Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures from when we were just starting to do the renovation.  I wish I would have taken more!

This is a before picture of my space before I made my new craft room
Counters for my craft storage before the room renovation.

New Craft Room! Check it Out

After each picture I will try to give you information about my different storage items and things in my room. Remember, many things are 20+ years old, so I might not have the information any more.

Here-is-my-new-craft-room-complete-with-tulip-pictures

I will start here and work my way around the room.  As you can see I have great cupboards and a nice huge counter top.  This is “kitchen” height is perfect for working standing up.

Check out my gorgeous tulip paintings.  A dear friend and neighbor of mine is an incredible artist.  I love LOVE her paintings, so when I decided to redo my room, I contacted her and finally purchased a couple or her paintings.  They look so good in my room and they go with my “theme” and business name!  These paintings are so inspiring to me.  You can see Alla’s work HERE.

My new craft room has plenty of space for paper storage, punches and clear stamp blocks

One of the big improvements to the old cabinets were these drawers that Dave installed. Why did I not do this years ago? These are perfect for my new craft room! There was so much wasted space and now I can be so organized! He purchased them at Menards, but I am sure you can find at any home improvement store.

Designer Series Paper Storage

In the bottom drawer I store my 12″ x 12″ and 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Papers.

I love storing my scrapbook papers and designer papers in these plastic bins.

The 12″ x 12″ is stored in these file boxes that I have had for ever and ever…..

Each package is put into a paper file that I found on Amazon.  See them HERE.

I also found some 12″ x 12″ holders on Amazon if you are interested.  See them HERE.

For my 6 inch papers I use a box I got from Stamp-n-Storage

The 6″ x 6″ papers are stored in this box from Stamp-n-Storage The clear envelopes are from Amazon, however, they are currently not available.  They are made by Avery Elle and are the EXTRA LARGE STAMP & DIE STORAGE (6 3/4″ x  9 3/8″). I cut the top down so they are not so big and they fit perfectly in this box.

New Craft Room Tour: Punch Storage

All of my punches are in the top 2 drawers.  You see one in this picture, and then the other is to the right on the other wall.  Here you will also see the drawer with all the clear blocks.

Can't find your craft punches? Keep them in a drawer for easy access.

As we turn the corner and look at the other wall, you will see more of these fabulous drawers.  They hold just about everything!  (I opened several in the video.)

What I love is having everything right there next to me when I am stamping.

My new craft room is full of drawers for all the little parts and pieces we need in paper crafting.

This is what the ribbon drawer looks like.  I used adjustable drawer dividers to make them fit just like I wanted.

I LOVE my new ribbon storage. I can quickly see all the colors I have available to work with.

Stamp Storage

My favorite wall. Here you can see the stamp shelves that Dave build for me to fit my stamps perfectly. They are alphabetical and if they have dies, the dies are just to the left of the stamp set.

Of course my new craft room had to have plenty of room for storing my stamp sets.

On the right side you can see how I store my ink pads and Stampin’ Blends. I love the Stampin’ Up! sorage. I was able to customize it to just the right size to fit my counter and all the products I have. You can check out these products HERE.

These storage bins by Stampin' Up! are perfect in my craft room to organize my ink pads and my alcohol markers.

Cardstock Storage

From this angle you can see where I film my videos, as well as my adjustable table in the center of the room. Under the table is my filing cabinet where I store all of my cardstock.

I still have my trusty cardstock storage in a lateral file cabinet.

And finally, the other end of my room is my “office” area.

In my new craft room I now have space for my desk too so I can practically live in my stamp room now if I want to.

And there you go…..a peak into where I spend my days!

Now, it’s time to get back to creating some projects so I can make some more STAMPING videos for you.

  1. Hi, Jackie,
Congratulations on your new craft room. I’m always looking for ways to store my craft items so that they will be more organized and easily accessible, so your craft room tour was beneficial. I recently moved and I’m in the process of setting up a new craft room myself. Coincidentally i am storing my stamps and dies in a similar manor to the way you are storing yours. I happened to have some Velcro dots and I’ve put one half on the die envelope and the other half on the stamp case so they are “hooked” together. So far it seems to be working. Thanks for your tour and all of your simple card making ideas.

  2. What a treat! I did not get dizzy just “EMERAL GREEN” with envy or “GRANNY APPLE GREEN” jealous. Gave me some new storage ideas. THANKS Jackie!

  3. Your Craft room looks amazing. Thank you for sharing it with us. I did notice your pin board and think I might do the same. I currently have them all pinned on my apron that I never use. Just a great reminder of all the accomplishments.
Makes me think it is time to go through and clean house again.

  4. Nice room and storage, Jackie! I have done some things similarly and love it. Over the years I have moved things to what seems better but have to label so I know where I put things. LOL. Enjoy!

  5. Thank you for your tour and explanation of the the different areas. I was taken I’ll two years ago while here in Florida and we were forced to sell our Virginia home and settle here. I reached out to you on paper storage and you were gracious enough to respond and show me your lateral files. My husband vetoed them so I had to find another solution but I appreciated your help. Your tour is a great help as I get this room shaped up. I am so glad you at last have one room to work in and you have done a great job. So glad your husband pitched in. He did a great job. Love your tulip paintings! My daughter and I love your videos. And look forward to your Creativate segments. Thank you so much. God bless you and keep Stampin’

  9. Wow, this is lovely. Didn’t get dizzy at all. I scrapbook too, so I hesitate to have my craft room in the basement with all the photos etc. I am happy that you live in a place where they manufacture office furniture. I had my husband make a standing desk by buying an ikea tabletop and add some legs on it and that sits on top of the existing desk. Enjoy your new craft room.

  10. Beautiful craft room! Thanks for sharing your tips. I stamp in our bedroom and am waiting for our kids to move out so I can take one of their rooms. I like the punches in the drawers – best way I have seen yet for punches. Lateral file cabinets are the best for cardstock, I will be taking one of my husband’s to use if I ever get my own craft room. Love your style on your videos, you are so relatable. God bless your soldiers, our boys are National Guard.

  11. WOW!!! Looks wonderful! I started out with a garbage bag-covered piece of plywood lying on top of my ironing board. Then I upgraded to the closet (with doors removed) and husband built shelves to my specs. There I stay with the help of a utility table that’s high enough for my poor old back…oh yeh, lots of rolling storage units. It works, but I’d rather have your room. Good for you!

    • Oh, I think we all relate to those set ups. I am blessed after 20+ years of doing this to have this space. Have a stamp happy day!

  12. Loved this! Do you have a method for finding the sentiments you want right off when you want them?? A few years ago, I had a number of friends going through Christmas for the 1st time after spouses or parents died. I used a specific sentiment on many cards that year (and the following year). How do you keep track of those special stamps that “get lost” in all of the different stamp sets that you acquire? Help me, Jackie!!! And thanks for your many great ideas 🙂

  13. Hi Jackie, i love watching your videos because you have such a happy disposition. Your new craftroom is awesome, love how you’ve changed up your timber finish tonthe white finish – though the timber looked great, the white adds an extra light & airy feel. May i ask please what benchtop surface you selected? It kooks good with both the white and timber. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day.
Oh, i’m a hibbyist demo from Australia.

  14. Good morning, Jackie. Just watched your video of you new Craft Room. I, too, am green with envy as I craft in one end of a small bedroom in a mobile home. Lucky to have that but no GOOD storage space; just some freestanding shelves around me. So nothing is where anyone else could find it. I’m not a demonstrator—just a hobby cardmaker—donate most of my cards to my Church. But I get the fun of coming up with ideas, casing from youtube, and just doing my own thing. Sorry this is so long, but I’m along and sometimes lonely. Then I go to my “friends” on youtube. I especially enjoy your happy and joyful videos Thank you for the tour. Enjoy and think of we who are not so blessed as you. Susan Stufft in PA.

    • I’m so glad that you are able to make cards and share them with your church family–that is the most important thing. I love sharing ideas with everyone. Have a great day Susan.

    • LOL….there are over 100 stamp sets on those shelves. I get rid of retired products because I’d never have room to store them all and I wouldn’t use them all. Out with the old and I leave room for the new.

  17. I showed my husband your video and we may do something like it in my stamping room.
I am wondering why you took down the upper cabinets.
    Are the cabinets from Menards?

  18. You did a great job of this video. It was slow and steady and didn’t make me dizzy at all. Your style of organizing is clean and minimal. Kudos to you after doing this for 25+ years! Thank you for the video. I learned a few ways to organize my paper. ~Best wishes, Karen

  19. I really like your stamp room, thanks for sharing with us! One question, what size is your room? I’m hoping for a new craft room & am trying to figure out how much space I really need. I want more, hubby says less 😏. Although I am not good at getting rid of things, I’m thinking if I had a space about the size of yours, I would be encouraged to purge. A little 😁. Your room looks like it may be a happy medium between want I want & what hubby thinks I need. Again, thank you for showing us your lovely space!
