4 Simple Greeting Cards + How to Decorate the Envelopes

Grab your stamps and ink and get ready for me to show you 4 simple greeting cards + how to decorate the envelopes so that they coordinate!

Now, some of you may be asking SIP Cards???  What is that?  If you are new to following me, you will soon learn that I am all about making quick and easy cards and one way to do that is with my SIP METHOD–stamps, ink and paper.  That’s all you truly need to make pretty greeting cards.  I think sometimes we get so wrapped up in “all the stuff” that we forget we can do a lot with a little!

These 4 simple greeting cards are perfect for many ‘every day’ occasions.

Today I am featuring 4 simple cards that I made with the SIP Method using the Stampin’ Up! Rare Blessings Stamp set.  This stamp set really caught my eye in the catalog, but mainly for the greetings in it.  I wasn’t in the mood to spend a lot of time coloring, so I decided on monochromatic (+ Black) cards.  I love adding black because it really makes everything pop!

You could use any color for these 4 simple greeting cards and use any greeting stamp you want to fit the occasion you need the card for.

Supplies I Used for these 4 Simple Greeting Cards

The supply list for these cards is not very big and you certainly can make them in any colors.  I made all 4 using colors in the subtle collection because you can purchase these colors together in assorted packages of both cardstock and Designer Series Paper.  Here is what I used.  If you’d like to purchase any of these products, OR anything else, you can click on any of the little pictures below and go directly to the online store.

  1. I love your cards! Simple, beautiful, easy– and you showcase the stamps so well–I skipped over this one – maybe because of not enough flaie, but you use it beautifully. Thanks

  2. Just recently started watching your videos and have loved every one of them and the projects created. I loved the quick and easy Halloween gift card holders you made for your children so I made them for my Grandchildren who don’t live close enough to come to MawMaw’s house to trick or treat. It was so much fun to make them. Thank you.

  3. Jackie,

Always look forward to your emails each week and have learned so much! A question — have you ever done a video featuring the Inspiring Iris stamp set. I’ve just obtained in and I’m sure I’ll figure out how to use it, but it would be much nicer if I could watch you do it first! (Am I lazy, or what?!) By the way, I am planning to give my niece a set of cards for Christmas this year. Keep up the wonderful things you show us.

    • Hi Ruth, I’m not sure that I’ve used that set but I’ve done a ton of cards with flowers so look through my YouTube channel and find card design where you can substitute the Iris stamp set with. I know your niece will love the cards you make her! What a thoughtful gift!

    • Jeannette, you can really make envelopes out of any of our papers except for I would not recommend the THICK whisper white….that’s too thick for an envelope but try whisper white or any cardstock color and any designer series paper. Have fun!!

  5. Thanks for the information. It is a great help. I have so much Stamp-in-Up paper from over the years I should not have any problem finding something I like. If I can’t I can always order more.

I have been wanting to tell you how much I appreciate your easy cards ideas and ideas about decorating the inside of the card. I don’t think I have seen any of the other company’s reps. decorate the inside of cards. I was watching HSN Craft Day yesterday. None of the people said or did anything about the inside of cards unless they had words to stamp inside.

    • Yes! There’s plenty of paper to go around and always new designs on the horizon! I’m so happy to hear that decorating the inside of the card ideas I share are helpful to you! Have a great day Jeannette!
