Today I’m going to show you how to create a watercolor wash in 3 quick steps with just a few basic supplies. If you’ve ever seen greeting cards with a watercolor wash as the background and wondered how to create that look then you’ll be pleased with today’s video! It’s an easy process.

We are using one of my favorite new bundles in the catalog called Sailing Home.  There is a whole suite of beautiful coordinating products on pages 144-146 of the new 2019-2020 Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog.

I have been stamping like crazy, and in the video I actually show 25 different cards I have made with this suite of products!  YES, 25 CARDS WITH SAILING HOME!

Create a Watercolor Wash + Sneak Peak at a BUNCH of Cards

The video is really to teach you how to create a watercolor wash, but that would be boring on its’ own, so make sure to watch for those instructions plus several other fun tips (like how to save paper) and also 25 different cards that I threw into this one video!

If you are reading this blog post in your email, the video might not show up.  Just click the picture below to go directly to YouTube to watch it.

  1. Impressive job on these cards and video. I especially liked your sheet that showed the images stamped then die cut and the ones that were only die cut. And I didn’t realize the Aqua Painters had different sized tips. Good to know. Is there any differences in the new Fluid 100 Water Color papers?

    • Honestly, I haven’t purchased our newest water color paper yet but I’m sure it works great just like what we are already used to!

  2. Can you do the water color wash by stamping ink pad on a block. I don’t have the bottle of ink; I always enjoy your videos and you have so many good ideas.
