Best Alcohol Markers: Stampin’ Blends! Let’s Make a Fun Card!

Have you ever colored with alcohol markers? If you haven’t you are in for a real treat! Let me show you how the Stampin’ Blends work and how smooth it is to color and blend with them. These are hands down the best markers for coloring in my opinion and a must-have in my craft stash!

We are using the ‘Forever Blossoms’ stamp set and the ‘In Good Taste’ Designer Series Paper for the card today.  Make sure to watch the video to see how I added dimension to my project too!

Today’s Featured Card

These cards are made the same way, I just used a different piece of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and different colors of Stampin’ Blends for the flowers.

The one on the left was colored with Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  The flowers on the right were colored with Purple Posy.

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base:  8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ (I used Gray Granite and Smoky Slate)
  • Whisper White:  5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ (make sure to watch video to see what this piece is for)
  • DDSP:  5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
  • Inside:  Whisper White:  5″ x 3 3/4″
  • Inside:  Basic Black:  5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″

Don’t forget to make the inside as pretty as the outside!

Important Tips:

  • When coloring with Stampin’ Blends, make sure to stamp your image in Memento Ink
  • Whisper White or Very Vanilla (regular or thick) cardstock should be used
  • Color small sections at a time.  In this case, one flower complete with light and dark, then the next, ect…
