Are you looking for more handmade cards you can make in a simple stamping style? Today I have a fun and trendy SIP card (stamps, ink & paper) to share with you, as well as several stepped up cards all using the Needle & Thread stamp set.  This stamp set brings back so many memories of my mother and grandma–they both loved to do needlepoint.  It seems like it was a dying art for so long, but it’s definitely coming back!  My young adult daughters now love to “stitch” as they call it!

The Needle & Thread stamp set and Needlepoint Elements Dies are retiring….if you like them and want them, make sure to order soon before they are sold out (especially the dies!)

SIP Card: Handmade Cards You Can Make Easily!

This is the card I stamped in the video.  Make sure to watch for tips on stamping with the Needle & Thread stamp set.  And, I guess I cheated a little on the SIP card….I added a little Old Olive Baker’s Twine!

Card Recipe:

  • Whisper White Note Card & Envelope (easy recipe to share!!!)

Colors I used:

I used the same color ink on all my cards today. (added Balmy Blue to one of them below)

Where did I get my color combination?  From the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper.  Even though I did not use the paper in most of the cards, it’s a great way to find new color combinations that look great together!

Don’t forget to stamp the inside.

Needle & Thread Tutorials

Stepped Up Cards

After stamping my SIP card, I pulled out the coordinating framelits and had some fun creating 3 more cards.  Let me be honest–these cards ARE NOT ANY HARDER–they are still handmade cards you can make quickly and easily!  They just took a little more time.  Don’t let cards with a lot of layers and cut out pieces scare you–they are not hard!!!

Card Recipe:

  • Balmy Blue:  11″ x 4 1/4″
  • Berry Burst:  3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″

Just Curious

Before I finish up today’s post, I have a question.  I spend a lot of time sharing the CARD RECIPES with almost every card I post.  Do you use them?  Is it worth me trying to always share them?  I would love to hear from you as to if I should continue sharing the recipe each time. Please let me know by leaving a comment.
