With the launch of the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog I am going to get back to featuring one stamp set each week in a CARD SERIES.
Stampin’ Up! stamps are so versatile and I always want to show you how you can make more than just one card with a stamp set! So often we buy a set because we see one card we LOVE….so we make that card, then what? The stamps sit….and sit….
Can you relate?
So each week I am going to feature a set on at least 3 different days. I am also going to try to start giving you MORE DETAILS and TIPS about making each card. I truly want this to be a place were you can come and BE INSPIRED…..and LEARN!
I will often try to also throw in a video–sometimes on day 3 with tips for all 3 cards I just showed–stay tuned on that one!! (actually this time you are getting on day #1 of the series!)
So, let’s get started with this weeks series……we are using a single stamp, and it’s just called:
Each card in this series will also add in another set for the greeting!!!
So….here it is…..PINEAPPLE CARD #1
HOVER & PIN
if you like this card, make sure to HOVER over the picture & PIN
to your Pinterest Board for future reference!
I have to say….I absolutely love this PINEAPPLE!!! It’s BIG, but oh so easy to use!!!
Now, I have to share a little trick…..its ONE STAMP…..I DID NOT LIKE IT AS ONE STAMP!
THIS IS WHAT I DID! I cut it into 2 stamps!!!! Now it’s super easy to stamp the top and bottom in 2 different (or more) colors! I have the CLEAR MOUNT so it’s easy….if you prefer the WOOD MOUNT, you can still do this–just mount the top on one side of the wood, and the bottom on the other side. Problem will be though, it will be a little harder to line up!
Back to the card……here are the
Basic Black Card Base: 7 3/4 X 5 1/2 (yes, a bit smaller than normal because the front is 3/4″ shorter so you can see the DSP on the inside!)
Shimmery White: 3 1/4 X 5 1/4 (works best for the water spritzing)
Shimmery White: 3 X 5 1/4 (inside)
Delightful Dijon DSP: 1 X 5 1/2
Linen Thread & Gold Metallic Thread
Additional Stamp Set Used: LAYERING LOVE
I have some tips for you as to how I stamped the PINEAPPLE and got the TEXTURE/DETAIL in it. It was easiest to explain in a video:
Like I said in the supply list, the front of the card is 3/4″ shorter so you can see the DSP on the inside. Here is the card opened up so you can see the inside:
Both the “words” on the outside and the inside are from the
LAYERING LOVE STAMP SET
(another NEW must have!)
