Today’s post shows you how you can make a “stencil” to use for sponging with your Big Shot Dies…..(You could use any die for this!) And, its a great “gift giving” idea. We all need these kinds of ideas with the Holidays soon approaching!
So….here is the project–it’s a “card holder” with 4 note cards inside. The note cards are 3 1/2 X 5 and fit perfectly into the Note Card Envelopes (page 162 of the catalog)
I used the AUTUMN ACCENTS BIGZ Die for both the front of the “holder” and the cards. The ones on the front of the holder are just cut out and sponged to give them a little dimension.
For the cards, I cut a leaf out of a scrap piece of cardstock to use as a stencil. Then I used my Crushed Curry pad to sponge the leaf.
I felt it needed a little more “depth,” so I used one of the stamps from the Gorgeous Grunge set with Crumb Cake Ink and stamped through the stencil.
Here is what the finished cards look like…..
I used the ANOTHER THANK YOU PHOTOPOLYMER Stamp set: SEE IT HERE
To make the CARD HOLDER, take a piece of 8 1/2 X 9 1/2 Cardstock and score at 4 3/4 (middle of 9 1/2 side) and at 2 1/2 up from the bottom. Just fold the bottom up and then in half. I did not adhere anything, the piece of ribbon holds it all together.
